"The current virtual world consists of two planets, Azeroth and Draenor (also known as ""Outland""). Azeroth consists of two main continents, the Eastern Kingdoms and Kalimdor. Located to the northwest of Kalimdor are the Azuremyst and Bloodmyst Isles, and Teldrassil. Kalimdor contains the starting areas for the Orc, Troll, and Tauren races of the Horde. The Night Elves and Draenei of the Alliance both begin in areas off the coast of Kalimdor (Teldrassil and Azuremyst and Bloodmyst Isles respectively). The Night Elves have the capability to move to the mainland fairly early as well. The Eastern Kingdoms contain the beginning areas for the Undead and Blood Elves of the Horde, as well as the Humans, Dwarves and Gnomes of the Alliance. Draenor, added with the release of The Burning Crusade, is only accessible to those who have purchased and activated the expansion pack. It is reached through the Dark Portal in the south of the Eastern Kingdoms or through in-game teleportation. Draenor was the original home of the Orcs and was also inhabited by the Draenei for over 200 years. The Wrath of the Lich King expansion will add the continent of Northrend in the northern region of Azeroth and will be available exclusively to those players who purchase and activate that expansion pack.[8] Instances Instances, also known as instance dungeons or simply ""dungeons"", are areas where multiple copies of the same area can exist concurrently.[24] This means that multiple groups can both be doing the same activities in the same location, yet not interfere with one another. ""Instance"" can also refer to a particular copy of such an area. Other areas such as battlegrounds are also instances, enabling multiple groups of players to participate at the same time. wow eu Instances other than battlegrounds can hold as many as forty different players each, pitting them against dragons or other creatures of greater power. The first world events were outdoor raid bosses that could be challenged without entering an instance. "Upon defeating another player of the opposite faction in player versus player (PvP) combat the victor earns ""Honor Points"". But you may display your highest lifetime rank title. The Arenas,[14] added in The Burning Crusade, offer gladiator-like combat in a World of Warcraft setting. The Arenas have a separate system from the Battlegrounds. Instead of honor, the Arenas give ""Arena Points"" which can be spent to purchase items in a manner similar to Honor Points. Only level 70 players can participate in rated arena matches. Lower level players can always participate in arenas but no arena points are awarded. "As an Undead, you’ve already learned a lot about moving around and interacting with the game in a way that other races haven’t had to do yet. If you got lost in the graveyard to the south of the town of Deathknell, or if you have already taken time to explore a little bit, you’re way ahead of Orcs and Trolls who haven’t had to worry about getting lost yet. wow gold From here on in, however, the playability-difficulty is about the same for all races. Shadow Priest Sarvis has given you a “starter quest” designed to get you to give you a bit of battle experience and get you to level 2, so let’s get to it! Turn around and head back outside, then continue north along the town path, down past Deathguards Bartrand and Randolph and through the gate they guard. Depending on how many other brand new players are running around, finding Wretched and Mindless Zombies may be easy or difficult. You might want to take a look at the Zone Map before you run too far away from the Deathguards - by hitting ‘m’ you can bring up a map that is much larger than the minimap. wow lvl service The You-Arrow appears on this map so you know where you are and what direction you’re facing just like in the Minimap. The Deathknell area is rather small compared to the rest of the map, so take a bit of time to memorize where the town is, where you’re standing right now, before you head out to take on the zombies. wow gold Being able to use the ‘m’ map to find specific spots in a zone is crucial. The World of Warcraft is HUUUUUGE. wow leveln Start your good habits early. Zombie-killing Tips Since you’re in a newbie zone, most of the quest targets are named in yellow, meaning they are ‘neutral’ in status towards you, and you can walk by them without any fear of them lashing out and drawing you into battle.
Each newbie zone DOES have a small selection of ‘aggro’ mobs/enemies, however, so be aware! Once your targets get to level 4 or so, they’re likely to also be named in red, meaning they’ll attack if you get too close. Wretched and Mindless Zombies are level 1 and 2 creatures, however, so they won’t attack you first and won’t try to defend their fellow zombies who are being killed beside them. This first quest is designed to be an easy fight for a new player who isn’t interested in experiencing game death quite yet. wow level service You should be able to go into this with confidence, just looking to have fun and explore, and you’ll do fine.
